NOTES

Part of a series of training days aimed at two groups of people:
1/ newcomers to bush orienteering
2/ those wanting to step up from Moderate to Hard bush courses

There will be a structured series of coaching and training activities to develop skills and confidence for bush orienteering. Each training day proceeds a club event so you’ll be able to put your improved skills to test.

Note there is no cost for these events but please contact us (info@awoc.org.au) so we know how many people to expect.

Session 1

Session 1 is to be held at Nail Can Hill, Albury.  Meet at the range end of Hodge Street.

Skills coaching will include map orientation, location tracking, basic map symbols and feature identification.  More advanced skills will include an introduction to rock: types, symbols and identification.  Short courses are offerred to practice the skills learnt.
