About Interclubs
Interclub events are our annual competition with WaggaRoos. As with all our events, they’re open to everyone and cater to all abilities. Points are awarded to each competitor for starting, completing a course and gaining a podium finish. The points are tallied at the end of the year and the club with the most points wins the North East South West Interstate Challenge Cup (and who wouldn’t want to win something with a name like that!).

Burngoogee features a mix of terrain, with spur-gully, various vegetation and areas of complex rock.  This is a quality area, used in 2022 for the Queen’s Birthday 3-day event.

# Name Length Description
1 Long Hard 5.4 km challenging navigation and control locations
2 Short Hard 3.5 km challenging navigation and control locations, but shorter and less physically demanding than Long Hard
3 Moderate 2.8 km easier navigation with options of using linear features (tracks, paths, fences, watercourses, etc.) or short-cutting cross-country, medium distance and generally not too physically demanding
4 Easy 2.0 km easy navigation following obvious features, shorter distance and not physically demanding

Note: Course distances are direct – you will travel 10% to 50% further depending on route choice and navigation errors.

  • $7 adults, $4 juniors

Payment via cash at the event or EFT to WaggaRoos prior to the event.

Enter on the day (i.e. just turn up and enter)

Note: If you are not a regular at Interclub events then it’s best to email the event organiser to let them know you’re coming and what course you’re wanting to do, thus ensuring enough maps available.

From Albury take the Hume Hwy and either:

  •  Drive to Narrandera.
  • After passing the 50kph sign on the causeway and just as you enter town, turn right at the first street (Larmer St.) signposted to the Caravan Park and Shopping Centre.
  • After about 200m take the first left into East St (Narrandera Hotel is on the NE corner).
  • Drive north for about 300m past the Gateway Motor Inn (on your left) and turn right into Victoria Square on the northern side of the small park on your right (the Royal Mail Hotel is on the north-east corner).
  • Proceed for about 4.2km. Victoria Square becomes Victoria Ave and then Old Wagga Road. After Showgrounds Rd, and as you leave town, Old Wagga Rd becomes quite narrow so proceed with care.
  • Turn right to the Rocky Waterholes (O-sign) and follow ‘O’ signs to parking.
